Police at Strand Road in Derry are appealing for information about an assault on a woman in the Waterside area of the city. 
After 10pm on Wednesday, 3rd, a woman was followed down Chapel Road to Clooney Terrace by two women who assaulted her.
She sustained bruises to her face.
Inspector Les Craig said that the woman was also subjected to sectarian abuse. Information can be given on the police non-emergency number, 101, or by calling the Crimestoppers Charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
