POLICE have released eight people arrested in Derry following a drugs raid.
Suspected cocaine worth £30,000 were found at a house in the Waterside area of the city on Wednesday night.
Six men and two women were interviewed in relation to possession of a Class A drug and possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply.
They have now been released from police custody pending further enquiries.
A spokesperson added: “They were bailed until December.”
Following the raid, police chiefs in the city vowed to continue to crack down on those peddling drugs.
Chief Inspector Alan Hutton said: “This was a significant find and has taken potentially dangerous drugs of the streets of Londonderry.
“Police in the city remain focussed on tackling illegal drugs issues within the justice system in order to keep people safe.”
