Members of Derry City and Strabane District Council’s Planning Committee have voted to grant planning permission for a new housing development of 20 dwellings at Culmore.
During the meeting on 1st July the committee voted to grant planning permission for the dwellings on lands at Tullyardan Square, Culmore village. The decision has now issued and Planning Permission has been granted.
The mix of housing includes semi-detached and detached dwellings which offer choice family homes to future occupants.
The development will encompass a central area of open space within the site and will tie into the existing development at Tullyardan Square in which nine of the dwellings have already been completed.
Development of the remainder of the site will now create an attractive and quality residential environment promoting choice for its residents.
Chief Executive of Derry City and Strabane District Council John Kelpie described the granting of permission as a welcome boost to the village of Culmore, “providing a mix of housing to offer choice in a quality living environment for the future residents and a much needed boost to the economy and construction jobs in difficult economic times.”
