DETECTIVES in Derry are trawling through CCTV footage in their hunt for man behind an armed robbery at the Everglades Hotel.
Police say a man carrying a gun threatened staff at the Waterside hotel just after 6pm on Sunday evening.
He left with a large amount of cash.
The suspect is in his late 30s with black hair and grey stubble. He spoke with a southern Irish accent and was wearing jeans and a black hoodie.
Gardai have been informed as part of the investigation.
Detective Sgt Brian Reid is asking witnesses to the incident or anyone with any information to contact him at Strand Road Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
He said he is keen to speak with anyone who saw a white coloured Volkswagen Passat in the area of the hotel at the time of the robbery.
Information could also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
