Well-known Radio Foyle reporter Eric White has landed a major award.
The affable broadcaster picked up the Best Broadcast Award from Republic of Ireland boss Martin O’Neill at the FAI Awards in Sligo’s Clarion Hotel.
The award was the FAI Communication Awards for Best Broadcast.
Letterkenny man Eric’s entry was a compilation of his work on Derry City in Europe last season – following the team through Wales v Aberystwyth and in Belarus v Shakytor Soligorsk.
A stalwart with Letterkenny Rovers and a genuinely nice guy, Eric was inundated with well-wishers following his award.
Eric joked on social media “Lucky 13 years with BBC Radio Foyle.”
A truly well-deserved award for a man who knows his sport, all he has to do now is to stop supporting Spurs!
Congrats Eric from all at Derry Daily.
