Police are appealing for information about the theft of a power saw in the Rosemount area of Derry.
Constable Lander, the investigating officer, said that on Thursday July 17th, a grey and orange Stihl saw, used for cutting concrete, was stolen between 1030 and 11am from the Brooke park building site on Rosemount Avenue.
“This item is about 18 inches in length and fairly heavy – meaning the culprit would have had to carry it off the site in two hands. Access to the site could only be gained on foot and the culprit carried the item off the site on to Rosemount Avenue in broad daylight.
“The saw was marked with ‘WOODVALE’ in permanent marker. The value of the item is approximately £350.”
Information can be given on the police non-emergency number, 101.
