THE angry owner of Paulo’s Pizza in Derry will join his staff on Monday to hold a peaceful protest at attacks on their vans.
The company has lost SEVEN vans in recent times, one of them torched by dissidents.
Brave company boss Paulo McShane says they’ve had enough of he vandalism which has left pizza delivery drivers terrified.
Hundreds of customers and ordinary people are expected to join them at a new banner designed to get their message across.
Said Paulo: “Our staff will gather at the banner on Monday at 11.00am in a show of strength showing how many could be affected should this destruction of our vans continue.
“We have now lost seven vans in the past number of years.
“We would like to invite any of the public and any politicians that would like to join us to show solidarity and send out the message to those who continue to destroy our property and our community.”
The company is locally-owned and employs local people.
As the banner says, the staff just want to be able to earn a living without fear of being attacked.
