DETECTIVES in Derry are investigating a serious assault in the city which has left a teenager unconscious.
Police say the incident happened on Clooney Road in the Waterside sometime around 5.30pm last Saturday, August 8.
Detective Constable Richard Donnell said he was keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at that time and who may have witnessed the incident during which a 19-year-old man was knocked out.
The victim sustained injuries to his face and jaw and was taken to accident and emergency unit of Altnagelvin Hospital.
The detective said he was also keen to trace the driver of a cream Mini car which was damaged in the incident.
