A man said to have been in a distressed state was taken to safety from the River Foyle in Derry last night.
An on duty Foyle Search and Rescue mobile patrol was contacted by police just after 10 pm after the man was reported to be in distressed state on the railings.
The Foyle Search and Rescue crew were despatched to the scene and spoke to the man for a short time.
After several minutes, the man was removed to safety by Foyle Search and Rescue volunteers and local firefighters.
