FAMILIES have been allowed to return to their homes in south Derry following the discovery of a suspicious object.
Army Technical Officers were called in to examine the device which was left at the home of a family in Upperlands.
ATO later declared it a “hoax” device.
The PSNI closed Oakvale Terrace following discovery of the suspicious object in the area.
Around 20 homes were evacuated but residents have now been allowed back.
Oakvale Terrace has now been re-opened.
