POLICE are on the trail of three youths wanted a theft from a shop in the Waterside area of the city.
The three male teens are said to have gone into the electronic cigarettes shop at Spencer Road on Sunday.
Minutes later they stole four iPhones that were on display in a glass cabinet in the front window of the shop..
Investigating PSNI officer Constable Connolly said the theft was the result of “a distraction” carried out on two members of staff .
He explained: “Two iPhone 4Ss and two iPhone 5s were stolen
“The first youth is described as being 5’4” in height, slim build, aged about 17 with short back and sides blond/fair hair.
“The second is described as 5’10” in height, heavy build, wearing a blue jumper and blue shorts, with short back and sides black hair aged about 18 or 19.
“The third is described as 5’10” in height, heavy build, wearing a black top and grey tracksuit bottoms, with short back and sides black hair aged about 18 or 19.
“All three spoke with southern accents.”
