POLICE are investigating after a man was brutally assaulted in the Bogside area of Derry yesterday morning.
The victim was attacked by four men in Westland Street around 2.30 am.
The man sustained a dislocated left shoulder as a result of the assault.
Investigating officer Constable Lowe said the only description the victim could offer was that his attackers were wearing jeans.
He has appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact police at Strand Road on the non-emergency 101 telephone number.
