TWO ‘Good Samaritan’ members of the public came to the rescue of a 15-year-old after he was assaulted in a Derry play park last week.
Police say the incident happened around 8.00 pm on Thursday, September 23, at the park in St Columb’s Park.
Three youths, aged 15 to 17, were involved in the attack.
They ran off when two members of the public intervened saved the teenager.
Investigating officer Constable Montgomery said police at Strand Road were appealing for information the assault.
