THE Fire Service say it had to call in extra resources to deal with a blaze in Derry’s Strathfoyle area.
A spokesperson said: “The initial appliances attending a fire in a roofspace at Parkmore Drive in Strathfoyle requested extra resources to attend to deal with the incident.
“A covering jet, two main jets and a hosereel jet were deployed and an aerial appliance was also utilised as several roofspaces were involved.
“Smoke alarms actuated however the occupiers were already aware of the danger at the time.”
There were no reports of any injuries.
