POLICE are appealing for information about a teenager was brutally assaulted in the Galliagh area of Derry last week.
Investigating officer Constable Reynolds said police received a report of a male having been assaulted in the Fergleen Park area last Friday, October 16.
During the unprovoked attack, the victim lost his two front teeth.
The 16-year-old was walking through Fergleen Park around 10.30 pm when he was set upon by a group of three males aged 15-17 wearing tracksuit bottoms and hooded tops.
Const Reynolds said police were appealing for witnesses or anyone with any relevant information to contact them either on the 101 non-emergency number or through freephone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
