Eoin Bradley dropped from provisional Oakleft senior squad

EOIN Bradley has tweeted his frustration over being left out of Derry ‘s provisional training panel for 2016.

Bradley, who played for Derry in the Championship this year, also plays soccer with Glenavon FC.

“So I’m not in the top 43 players in Derry..

“I’ll have to work harder,” he said on Twitter.

Newly appointed Oakleaf manager Damien Barton has previously said that he was not sure Bradley would be able to play both soccer and gaelic football.

After his appointment as Derry manager, Barton described Bradley as a “fantastic footballer and fantastic talent” but indicated he would not tolerate the Glenullin continuing to play both soccer and gaelic football.

“It’s a very demanding environment in terms of fitness levels. People have got to be prepared to make sacrifices,” he told BBC Sport Northern Ireland.

“It’s very difficult to go back-to-back (in terms of playing matches) on consecutive days and I’m sure Eoin would concur with that.

“Everybody has commitments. Other people will have to fall into line. I’m hoping Eoin is available as well.”

Bradley, who recently scored an Irish Premiership hat-trick for Glenavon against Ballymena, was left out of the Derry squad by previous manager Brian McIver in 2014 due to his soccer commitments, but was recalled for the 2015 season.
