DETECTIVES in Derry are appealing for information after a man held a knife to a woman’s throat earlier this week.
The incident happened at around 8.30 pm on Monday, October 26.
Police say the woman was walking along Stephen’s Court in the Ballymagroarty area close to a mobile shop when she was approached by a man.
Said a PSNI spokesperson: “The man held a knife towards the woman’s throat and made threats to her.
“He was accompanied by another male, who was not involved in the incident but was present at the time.
“This assault occurred in the vicinity of a mobile shop in a residential area.
“So there is a possibility that there were other people in the area at the time or immediately before or after.
“We would like anyone who saw the incident, or has any information about it, to contact us on 101.
“Or alternatively they can call Crimestoppers free on 0800 555 111.”
