POLICE arrested a 34-year-old man and seized £5,000 worth of suspected Class A in Derry.
The haul of drugs was found during a search of a house in the Galliagh area yesterday morning during a planned operation.
He is to face Derry Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Monday, November 2 for a first remand hearing.
The accused is charged with possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply and obstructing a search by police.
Meanwhile, in a separate operation, police discovered herbal cannabis and associated drugs paraphernalia in the Waterside area.
The find was made during a house search in the Kilfennan area.
There are no reports of any arrests.
Anyone with information about drug dealing in the city is asked to ring police on the 101 non-emergency number.
