FIRE crews responded to a 999 call to attend a fire at a Derry pub.
A number of appliances from Northland Road NIFRS station raced to the scene of the blaze at a public house at The Diamond in early hours of yesterday morning.
A spokesman said crews used a CO2 extinguisher put out the fire.
The alarm was raised just after 2 am and involved a chip fryer going on fire in the kitchen on the premises.
The advice from the Fire Service is never to leave chip pans unattended or on overnight.
