“Foyle Search is constantly growing so we need enthusiastic people to join our friendly team and would urge anyone with an interest to volunteer for our organisation to get in touch.
“Volunteers with Foyle Search and Rescue come from all walks of life.
“They are people who have chosen to serve their communities and the public by giving their time, skills and effort willingly and without salary. We value this commitment and contribution very highly.
“Shore Volunteers need to be aged 21+ and be able for duty nights.
“You will also need to be reasonably fit and have a good standard of general health.
“Fundraising Volunteers need to be aged 16+ actively participate in any events organized in aid of FSR.
“This role is independent from an active suicide prevention role within the organisation. Due to postal costs application packs can be collected from Friday 13th November at our base 20 Victoria Road, Waterside, Derry, BT47 2AB during office hours Monday – Thursday 9.00 – 5.30 pm and Friday 9.00 – 5.00 pm.
“If you are unable to call in please send an A4 stamped addressed envelope and we will forward one to you.
“We will also have a stand at the North West Volunteer Fair on Thursday 19th November in The Guildhall from 1.00 – 5.00pm, so pop in and pick up an application pack.
“Closing date for applications is Sunday the 6th December, with shortlisting taking place over the Christmas period.
“Applicant’s will then be contacted mid/end January.”
