Two people have been killed following a car crash on the Derry to Letterkenny road this afternoon.
The accident happened just after 2.15pm in the downland of Killyvery, a mile outside Newtowncunningham.
Gardai, fire services and ambulances are at the scene (above).
The scene of the crash is close to a series of notorious bends on which there has been numerous crashes in recent years.
The entire area has been sealed of by Gardai and diversions are in place.
It is understood that at least two other people have been taken to Letterkenny General Hospital with serious injuries.
Gardai have confirmed that two people have died but have not released any further details about the crash.
