THE Irish government has pledged £75 million (€110m Euros) up to 2019 for A5 & ‘other infrastructures’ in north west.
That has been the commitment of Foreign Affairs Minister Charlie Flanagan after the announcement of the Stormont House Agreement Mark Two.
Phase 1 of the work will start in 2017.
There had been concerns expressed by politicians that the A5 would not get off the ground because of political squabbling and a lack of funding.
