POLICE have launched a crash scene investigation after one person suffered serious injuries following an accident involving a minibus and two cars in Co Derry.
The smash happened on the Foreglen Road, close to Dungiven, on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency crews from the fire service, police, ambulance and rapid paramedic teams rushed to the scene where they found five patients needing assistance..
Four patients suffered non life-threatening injuries while the fifth had suffered serious injuries, the Ambulance Service said.
They were taken to Altnagelvin Hospital for treatment.
The PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit is examining the scene to try and find out who or what caused the accident.
