Masked and armed men kneel at the Tricolour draped coffin of Peggy O’Hara

DETECTIVES investigating a number of incidents at the funeral of Peggy O’Hara in July have arrested two men this morning in Strabane.

The two men were arrested in connection with dissident republican activity by officers from the PSNI’s Terrorist Investigation Unit.

The suspects, aged 53 and 34, were arrested section 41 of the Terrorism Act in the town during a planned arrest and search operation.

The men have been taken to the serious crime suite at Musgrave police station in Belfast for questioning.

Detectives are also carrying out a number of searches in Strabane.

Over a dozen men and women have been arrested, questioned and released about the INLA funeral

Peggy O’Hara was the mother of INLA prisoner Patsy O’Hara, was one of 10 hunger strikers who died in Long Kesh in 1981.
