POLICE in Derry are appealing for information after a handbag containing a newly married couple’s wedding photos was stolen.
The vehicle was broken into in the Celtic Park car park area of the city on Sunday, November 29 and the handbag snatched.
Inside the Michael Kors leather bag was a USB memory stick holding up to 700 photos from the couple’s recent wedding.
Investigating officer Constable Tracy Flynn said the items were of great sentimental value.
“The USB is quite distinctive in that it is in a small wooden box with the name of a photographic company engraved on it. The USB also has the company name printed on it.
“The Michael Kors handbag was a wedding present from the woman’s husband and it also contained vouchers gifted to the couple from guests.”
Information can be given to police on the 101 non-emergency number.
