A yellow weather warning for wind is in place across Derry and the North West for the next two days.
The Met Office has put the warning in for Friday, December 4 and Saturday, December 5.
Motorists are being warned the adverse weather conditions will make driving conditions difficult.
There could also be possible disruptions to travel because of the wind.
The Met Office say the winds may be strong enough to bring down branches or even uproot some trees due to saturated ground.
The PSNI are urging drivers to take extra care on the roads, to slow down, leave a safe distance with the car in front, don’t use mobiles and do not drink and drive.
