POLICE say that around 1,000 concert-goers were evacuated from a carpark at Ebrington Square in Derry on Saturday night.
The move followed the discovery of a suspicious item.
The object was subsequently declared as ‘nothing untoward’ by police.
The alert ended two hours later.
It was one of a number of security alerts police dealt with in Derry over the weekend.
