A MAN is in custody following a smash in Derry which left three people injured.
Police say a four door saloon car crashed into a lamppost at Westway around 4 am this morning, Tuesday, December 8.
The car rolled into a field during the collision.
The injuries to the three people are not believed to be life-threatening.
A 26-year-old man was arrested under the Road Traffic Order on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol and other motoring offences.
He is currently being questioned at Strand Road police station.
