DETECTIVES are questioning a 15-year-old teenager after he was detained on suspicion of breaching his bail and a number of motoring offences.
Police say that last night, Tuesday, December 8, officers received a report that a van had been stolen from the car park at Society Street in Derry city centre.
Shortly before 9 pm, police say the stolen vehicle failed to stop for them at Creggan Broadway and again at Westway.
The van eventually stopped at Melmore Gardens after striking a mini-roundabout.
A number of occupants of the vehicle then got out and ran off.
The arrested youth remains in custody at Strand Road police station for questioning today.
