DETECTIVES have charged a 34-year-old over a serious assault at a Derry bar/restaurant early yesterday morning.
A PSNI spokesperson said that a 34-year-old man is due to appear at Derry Magistrates’ Court this morning for a first remand hearing charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.
The charge is in connection with an attack on a man at Pitchers Wine Bar and Restaurant at Foyle Golf Club in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The victim was first taken to Altnagelvin Hospital.
But due to the seriousness of his head injury he was later transferred to the Royal Victoria Hosptial for treatment.
