DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Reactive and Organised Crime Branch have arrested a 35-year-old man for suspected drug dealing.
It follows the seizure of small quantities of cocaine and herbal cannabis at a flat in the Bogside area of Derry after a house search.
The man has arrested yesterday under the 1971 Misuse of Drugs Act.
He was detained on suspicion of possession of a class A drug, possession of a class B controlled drug, possession of a class A drug with intent to supply and possession of a class B with intent to supply.
Inspector Jonathan Hunter said the man was currently helping police with their enquiries at Strand Road PSNI station.
Said Insp Hunter added: “I would like to take this opportunity to remind the community to report any information in relation to drugs in their area to their local police station on the non-emergency number 101.
