THE PSNI in Derry have issued a “a big thank you” to the local woman after she raised the alarm last night over a young boy walking through the Creggan without any shoes on his feet.
In a post on its Facebook page this morning, PSNI Foyle say: “A big thank you to the local woman who called us last night when she saw a young boy walking about the Creggan without any shoes on and in a distressed state.
“She followed him in her car to ensure he was OK, but lost sight of him after a time.
“Tactical Support Group officers on duty in the area made a number of checks of local addresses.
“They were happy to find that the seven-year-old had returned home and was safe.”
