DETECTIVES in Derry arrested a 21 year old man in connection with an aggravated burglary at a flat in the city.
Police say that at around 8.45 pm last Tuesday officers received a report of an altercation at flats in Bonds Hill involving several men.
A man forced open the door of the flat and tried to get inside.
But the occupier was able to close the door on him and was not injured during incident.
Detectives later arrested a 21-year-old man for questioning.
He was taken to Strand Road police and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Detective Constable David Johnston has appealed to anyone who may have seen or heard any row between 8.00 pm and 9.15 pm last Tuesday at the flats to contact him at Strand Road on the 101 non-emergency number.
“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111,” added DC Johnston.
