A Book of Condolences for Mark Farren is now open at the Brandywell.
Mayor of Derry and Strabane District Council Elisha McCallion opened the Book of Condolence for the club’s all time leading marksman, who was buried this morning at St Mary’s Church in Ballybrack, Donegal.
Stunned and shocked players – who formed a guard of honour at Mark’s funeral – took it in turns to sign the book and write a message to his sorrowing widow Terri-Louise and family.
The 33-year-old – who was Derry City’s all time top goal scorer – passed away on Wednesday morning after losing his battle against the ravages of an aggressive brain tumour.
Friends described him as a “gentle man and a legend”.
