THE Fire and Rescue Service say crews from Crescent Link in Derry and Strabane were called out to assist in a collision across the border yesterday morning.
The crews were responding to a request from Camp West for assistance with a road traffic collision involving two cars at Lifford, Co Donegal.
Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to release a 55-year-old woman from one car.
A 28-year-old woman was released from the other car by NIFRS crews using small tools.
Both casualties were taken to hospital by ambulance.
