A 75-year-old man has faced Derry Magistrates’ Court today on a catalogue of sex abuse offences dating back over 60 years.
Patrick O’Hagan, from Groarty Road in the city, is facing a total of 26 charges.
The charges he faced stretch over an 18 year period in the city.
The offences relate to seven male victims.
The offences and were allegedly committed on dates between October 1954 and December 1972.
The elderly MAN was charged with:
- 20 counts of indecent assault
- 4 counts of attempted buggery with a boy under the age of 16
- and 2 counts of gross indecency with or towards a child.
The pensioner was released on continuing bail.
He will next appear at Derry Crown Court on Tuesday, March 15 when he will be formally arraigned on all 26 charges.
