DETECTIVES in Derry are appealing for information following a house burglary.
The break-in happened in the Waterside area of the city at the weekend.
The occupants told police that sometime between 2.30 pm and 8.30 pm while they were out on Saturday, a sum of money was taken during the break-in at a house in Duncastle Park in Newbuildings.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Richard Donnell is hunting the burglars and wants the public’s help in catching them.
He said: “I would appeal to anyone with any information about this incident, or anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area, to contact detectives at Strand Road Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
