SINN Féin Councillor Colly Kelly has said there is set to be disruption at one of the city’s busiest road junctions during the month of March.
The delays will be caused as a result of the installation of a new Natural Gas Network in the area.
He said: “Over the weekend residents received letters from Firmus energy to say that McNicholas Construction working on behalf of the company are about to start the construction of a new Natural Gas Network in the area from 29.02.16 for five weeks.
“They have agreed with DRD Road Service to operate road closures on Marlborough Terrace on Sunday, March 6 for one day, Creggan Road on the March 12 and 13 for two days and for one day on March 20.
“It’s important that motorists across the city are aware of these closures as this is one the busiest and at times most congested road junctions in the city and that disruption to local residents is kept to a minimum.”
