‘LARGE QUANTITY’ OF CLASS A DRUGS SEIZED IN CO DERRY, SAY POLICE

Peter Gallagher jnr 2 cocaine blockPOLICE say officers have recovered a “large quantity” of suspect Class A drugs in Co Derry.

The seizure was made yesterday, Thursday, March 3,  during a search in the Highlands Road area of Limavady.

Suspected cannabis was also found during the house raid.

A man was arrested under the 1971 Misuse of Drugs Act.

He was later charged with possession and possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

The PSNI in Limavady have appealed to the public with information those peddling drugs to contact the local police station on the non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively information can be passed anonymously through Crimestoppers on freephone 0800 555 111.
