THE PSNI say it is planning to carry out more operations to clamp down on “anti-social and dangerous driving” in Co Derry.
Magherafelt Neighbourhood Policing officers conducted a road safety operation in and around Straw and Draperstown recently.
A police spokesperson said: “Three motorists were given advice and warnings and a discretionary disposal was issued for a defective tyre.
“Officers were also made aware of someone driving dangerously on a scrambler in and around the area.
“Police would ask parents to be aware of where scramblers are being ridden and ensure those using a scrambler are wearing the correct protective equipment.
“We are committed to keeping our roads safe, and will be conducting further proactive patrols in the area to deter anti-social driving and dangerous driving.”
