IT is Derry City’s first win on the road after a three nil win this evening against Bray Wanderers.
Aaron Barry gave the Candystripes the lead on six minutes in their away game to the Wanderers (kick off 7.45pm).
Then there were two second half goals from hot shot striker and Prodigal Son Rory Patterson to seal the three points.
That means Derry City have picked up six points from nine in their first three games of the season so far.
The defeat to Finn Harps in the opening match of the season is now a fading memory as Kenny Shiels and his team move on and up the Premier League.
Man of the match was awarded by Brian Kerr to Derry’s Barry McNamee.
Next up for Derry is a home league match this Friday, March 18, against Galway United (kick off 7.45 pm).
Galway lie in their place in the table on seven points with Derry City just one point behind in fifth place.
Dundalk lead the table on nine points with just goal difference between them and second placed Shamrock Rovers.
