IT is three wins on the bounce for Derry City after its 2-1 win tonight against Galway.
Two second half goals from Nathan Boyle secured the Candystripes nine points from their last three games.
The defeat against Finn Harps in the opening game of the season is now a distant memory as manager Kenny Shiels has turned around his team’s fortunes.
Galway took a 1-0 lead into at half time from a Devaney strike on 24 minutes.
Nathan Boyle popped on 75 minutes to grab the equaliser.
And then with three minutes of added time on the clock, Boyle grabbed his brace and the three points for the Brandywell team.
The win has helped Derry climb into fourth place in the league.
And Shiels’s team are now tied on points with the three teams – Cork City, Dundalk and Shamrock Rovers – with goal difference just separating them from Derry City.
