ONGOING SECURITY ALERT IN DERRY OVER ‘SUSPICIOUS OBJECT’

POLICE are at the scene of a security alert in Derry this afternoon.

It follows the discovery of a suspicious object in the Waterside’s Caw area.

The object was found during a police search of a house at Sperrin Park at around 2.00pm.

British Army bomb disposal teams are currently at the scene examining the device.
