HE DREAMED A DREAM…BGT winner Susan Boyle popped into the Dungloe Bar in Derry last night
THIS is the picture that proves Susan Boyle was in Derry last night visiting a few local hostelries.
The BGT finalist popped into the city yesterday evening and word soon spread about her arrival.
Local journalist Leona O’Neill appeared to have been getting the run around all evening in her hope of finding ‘Subo’.
Leona posted on her Facebook page: “I have searched for the lovely Susan Boyle around the pubs of Derry to no avail.
“The woman has a better social life than me, she has been in every bar in Waterloo St!
“If you have had your picture taken with her or happen to catch her raising the roof of the Bogside Inn or any other pub with a cracking rendition of Danny Boy please tag me in me your photos or videos.”
Her Facebook page was bombarded with messages telling Leona she was either in Granny Annies, the Bogside Inn and The Maldron where she normally stays during her visits.
Even the Mayor of Derry, Cllr Elisha McCallion got in on the posting last night, stating: “Defs the maldron, my friend just put up a selfie 2 mins ago.”
Well, Leona, here is the picture that proves that Susan Boyle was ‘defs’ in Derry last night.
And it wasn’t an April Fool’s joke after all!
