DETECTIVES have launched an arson investigation following a Co Derry house blaze.
Two police officers and a man were treated for the effects of inhaling acrid smoke following the deliberate attack on the house in Limavady in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The blaze was put out by crews from the Fire and Rescue Service.
Detectives are appealing for information following the fire at the property in the Kennaught Terrace area of the town.
Police believe the fire started sometime between 1 am and 1.30 am on Sunday morning.
The two PSNI officers and a male were treated for smoke inhalation following a check of the premises to ensure no one else was trapped.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Graham Glass appealed anyone who may have noticed anyone acting suspiciously in the area to come forward.
He is also appealing for anyone with information about the incident to contact detectives in Coleraine at the Reactive and Organised Crime Branch on the 101 non-emergency number.
