BY SINEAD CONNOLLY: My top five make-up re-purchases
Hello Derry Daily readers,
This week I am bringing you my top five favourite high street products that I re-purchase often.
As I am a self confessed make-up addict it is not too often that I finish products as I usually move on to try something new before they are empty.
When I found myself going to Boots to buy doubles I knew it was worth sharing these products with my readers. These products are all available in Boots and are budget friendly, so look out for the three for two offers to make them even cheaper.
This is not sponsored, I purchased all these products myself.
No. 1- Rimmel Match Perfection foundation – I have been using this foundation for a few months now and I am loving it.
You may have heard of this before as it has been on the market for a few years now.
This foundation is a light to medium coverage, and in my opinion, suited best for dry skin types.
It has SPF 20 so is a great daytime foundation for sun protection.
This foundation gives your skin a dewy radiant look and your skin feels hydrated and gives an even coverage.
No. 2- Maybelline The Eraser Eye – this is a fantastic under eye concealer.
I am now on my third one of these and I love it. I use shade light to highlight my under eye area.
If anyone has problems hiding dark under eyes like myself then give this a go.
I apply it directly under eyes in a triangle shape and blend it in with my sponge beauty blender.
I always do this after my eye Make up to avoid fall down from shadows. Well done Maybelline on this one, it covers all under eye perfections flawlessly.
No. 3- Bourjois Paris Poudre de riz De Java – this is a translucent setting powder, it’s a staple for every make up bag.
Bourjois released this celebrating 150 years, and I hope they keep this on the market as I love it.
It also smells amazing and has a light shimmer through it, but not overly shimmery.
The pot screws and allows you to take a small amount out at a time which is fantastic as that’s what puts me off using translucent powers they can be so messy.
It is amazing for setting under eye concealer, or apply all over the face to set foundation.
No. 4- Bourjois Paris volume 1 seconde mascara – another great product from Bourjois.
The shade I use in this is ultra black. In my opinion, this mascara is as good as most high end favourites.
The brush on this wand separates lashes amazingly.
This ticks all of the boxes when it comes to mascara.
It adds volume, length and thickness to lashes and lasts all day.
No. 5- Seventeen Wow Tan Liquid Glow – I bought this a while ago and forgot about it and recently brought it out again.
On the tub it suggests using it to contour, but I use this to highlight cheekbones instead.
I also mix a small amount of this with a body lotion and apply to arms and legs for a lovely shimmery glow.
This is a much cheaper way to get the all over body highlight.
And that is it for today. I hope you enjoyed and take care until next week.
