A TOTAL of 17 candidates will contest the Foyle constituency in the next month’s Assembly elections.
Voters go to the polls on May 5 in what is expected to be a fiercely contest election in Derry.
The SDLP will be hoping to retain its three seats.
But Sinn Fein have a plan to take one seat off its political rivals after parachuting Martin McGuinness in to fight the Foyle constituency.
