THIS is the scene this afternoon where emergency services are dealing with a fire in Derry.
Fire crews are tackling the blaze at the Rainbow Chinese takeaway and restaurant at 51-55 Carlisle Road.
Flames and smoke are seen billowing out of the roof of the building.
Locals watched tiles on the roof started to “pop off” due to the ferocity of the blaze.
It is understood one man, a chef, was slightly injured with burns to his hands in the fire.
He has been taken to Altnagelvin Hospital for treatement.
Fire chiefs believe the fire started accidentally in the kitchen.
The road is currently closed by police to allow fire crews to bring the fire under control.
