DETECTIVES investigating a spate of burglaries in Derry have arrested three teenage boys for questioning.
They were detained as inquiries continue into a number of burglaries in the Woodbrook area of Derry last weekend and other break-ins over the past two months.
Crimes committed included car thefts and a creeper style burglary, say police.
In the most recent incidents, burglars was gained entry to two houses and an attempt was made to enter a third in the Woodbrook area sometime between the hours of 1.45 am and 7.00 am on Sunday last, April 24.
Among the items stolen were laptops, house keys, handbags and other valuables.
The three teenagers – all aged 15 – were arrested yesterday and questioned by detectives from the Reactive and Organised Crime Branch at Strand Road PSNI station.
They have since been released on police pending further inquiries by detectives.
