THOUSANDS of people are expected in Derry this afternoon to take part in a march and rally to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the 1981 Hunger Strikes.
Derry men Patsy O’Hara and Michael Devine were among the 10 republican prisoners who died in the fast-to-death H-Block protest.
The main parade will leave Creggan shops (Central Drive) at 2.30pm and walk to the former home of Mickey Devine at Rathkeele Way before proceeding on to the former home of Patsy O’Hara in Bishop Street.
The parade will then make its way to the H-Block monument in Rossville Street.
